How we work
Small team, whole product
We work on the entire product rather than a slice of it — interface, application, data model, and the services behind them.
Product design
We start with the thing a person is actually trying to do, and design around that. Interfaces are built to be legible, calm, and accessible, on the phone as well as on a laptop.
Mobile engineering
Our applications ship to iOS and Android from a shared TypeScript and React Native codebase, with native modules where a platform capability — camera, sign-in, in-app purchase — deserves the real thing.
Data and services
Managed Postgres with row-level security, versioned schema migrations, and server-side functions that hold anything a client should never see. Data lineage is recorded so a figure in the app can be traced to its source.
AI, where it earns its place
We use language models for the parts they are genuinely good at: explaining, summarising, and answering in context. Numbers and facts come from deterministic code, and generated answers are checked against that before anyone reads them.
About
An independent software company
Fubukisoft builds and maintains its own products. We are deliberately small, we take a long view of the software we release, and we would rather ship one considered application than five thin ones.
