1. Who we are and what this covers
DenDenLens is provided by Fubukisoft (“Fubukisoft,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a brand operated by PT. FUBUKI SOFT INDONESIA, which is the data controller for the personal information described here. This Privacy Policy applies to the DenDenLens mobile application for iOS and Android and to the support and account services that link to this policy.
DenDenLens can be used without an account. The app starts in guest mode, and the main journeys do not require you to sign in. Signing in is optional and exists so your collection can persist and sync.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account information, if you choose to create an account: your email address or sign-in provider identifier, and basic profile details. DenDenLens supports Sign in with Apple.
- Collection content, such as the cards in your portfolio and watchlist, quantities, conditions, targets, notes, and preferences.
- Card images you submit, when you scan a card or import a photo or listing screenshot for identification.
- Assistant messages, being the questions you ask the in-app assistant and the context of the screen you asked from.
- Support communications, including your email address and the content of messages you send us.
Information collected when you use the app
- Device and app information, such as operating system, app version, language, and device type, used to operate and secure the service.
- Limited technical information generated while the app runs, such as error and performance information, used to keep the app working correctly.
- Security information, such as sign-in events and records used to prevent abuse.
If you use DenDenLens in guest mode, collection content stays on your device and is not associated with an account held by us.
3. Camera and photo library
DenDenLens asks for two optional device permissions:
- Camera, so you can scan a trading card to identify it.
- Photo library, so you can import a card photo or a listing screenshot instead of scanning.
Both are requested only when you use the feature, and you can decline either and continue using the rest of the app. We do not use the camera in the background, we do not record audio, and we do not scan or index your photo library — only the images you select or capture are used.
4. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- identify cards you scan and match them to catalog entries;
- store and synchronise your portfolio, watchlist, and settings if you have an account;
- produce the price, portfolio-value, and market information the app shows;
- answer questions you put to the in-app assistant;
- respond to support, privacy, and account requests;
- monitor reliability, investigate errors, and improve the app;
- detect abuse, protect users, and enforce our Terms; and
- comply with law and protect legal rights.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process information to perform our contract with you, with your consent, to comply with legal obligations, and for legitimate interests such as security and service improvement, balanced against your rights.
5. The in-app assistant
When you ask the in-app assistant a question, your question and the relevant app context are sent to a Fubukisoft server function, which passes them to a third-party language-model provider to generate a reply. The provider credentials are held only on our server; the app never holds them.
The market figures the assistant may state are produced by the app’s own deterministic engine, not by the model, and generated answers are checked against that engine before they are shown to you.
7. Advertising
DenDenLens does not currently display advertising. The application does not include an advertising SDK, and we do not collect or use an advertising identifier.
We may introduce advertising in a future version. If we do, we will update this policy before that version is released, and this section will state:
- the advertising networks used and links to their privacy information, including Google’s policy for partner sites and apps if Google AdMob is used;
- whether advertising identifiers are collected — on Android the Advertising ID, on iOS the Identifier for Advertisers where App Tracking Transparency permission is granted;
- whether advertising is personalised, and how to opt out of personalisation on your device;
- what information is shared with advertising partners, and for what purpose; and
- the App Tracking Transparency prompt you will see on iOS before any tracking occurs.
We will not begin serving advertising, collecting advertising identifiers, or tracking across apps and websites without first updating this policy and meeting the platform consent requirements that apply.
8. Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as needed to provide DenDenLens, meet the purposes in this policy, resolve disputes, maintain security, and comply with legal obligations. Retention depends on the type of information and why we hold it.
Card images you capture or import are used to produce a match. We keep them no longer than we need for that purpose and for related quality and abuse checks. Aggregate, non-identifying information about catalog coverage and match quality may be retained to improve recognition.
9. Account deletion
You can delete your DenDenLens account and the data attached to it using the deletion option in the app, or through our public account-deletion page.
When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify the account and its associated content from active systems, except for limited information we must retain for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or security purposes. Residual copies may remain in encrypted backups until overwritten through our regular backup cycle. Information de-identified so that it can no longer reasonably identify you may be retained.
If you have purchased a subscription, deleting the app or your account does not cancel it. Cancel through the store where you subscribed to avoid future renewal charges.
10. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or obtain a copy of personal information, withdraw consent, or object to certain processing. You may also have the right to appeal a decision or complain to your local data-protection authority.
You can use DenDenLens without an account, decline camera and photo permissions, and revoke either permission at any time in your device settings. To make a privacy request, email contact@fubukisoft.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
11. Children
DenDenLens is not directed to children under 13, or under the higher minimum age required in their country to consent to the processing of personal information. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that age. If you believe a child has provided personal information to DenDenLens without appropriate permission, contact us so we can review and delete it.
12. Security and international transfers
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards intended to protect personal information, including row-level access controls on our database and server-side handling of credentials that a client application should never hold. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Fubukisoft and its service providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use recognised legal mechanisms and safeguards for international transfers.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as DenDenLens develops or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy here, update the date above, and provide additional notice when required by law — including before any release that introduces advertising.
