Your information, treated with care

Olive Privacy Policy

What Olive collects, why we use it, and the choices you have.

Effective date: September 7, 2026

1. Who we are and what this covers

Olive is a Bible, prayer, and Christian spiritual-growth application developed by Fubukisoft, a brand operated by PT. FUBUKI SOFT INDONESIA (“Fubukisoft,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), which is the data controller for the personal information described here.

Olive is designed to help people spend meaningful time with Scripture, prayer, reflection, and their Christian community. This Privacy Policy applies to the Olive mobile application, Olive+, and the Olive support and account services that link to this policy.

Some information you choose to add to Olive may reveal details you consider personal or sensitive, including religious or spiritual beliefs. You control what you choose to share with Olive and with other people.

2. Information you provide

Depending on the features you use, Olive may collect information you voluntarily provide, including:

  • Account information, such as your name, email address, sign-in provider identifier, and profile details needed to create and maintain your Olive account.
  • Prayer and community content, such as prayer requests, Grace Reports, comments, responses, or other content you submit to be shared with the people or communities you choose.
  • Private reflections and spiritual activity, such as personal reflections, prayer activity, Scripture interactions, journey progress, saved content, preferences, and backup data. Content identified as private is not treated as a public community post.
  • Content you submit to AI-powered features, which may be processed to produce the response or personalised experience you asked for. Please avoid submitting information about another person that you do not have permission to share.
  • Support communications, including your email address and the content of messages you send us.
  • Subscription information, such as subscription status and purchase entitlement.

3. Information collected automatically

Olive may collect limited technical and usage information needed to operate, secure, and improve the app, such as:

  • device and application information, and app version;
  • crash and diagnostic information;
  • feature interactions;
  • authentication and session information; and
  • security and fraud-prevention information.

We use this information to maintain reliability, understand how Olive is used, troubleshoot problems, and protect the service.

4. How we use information

We may use information to:

  • provide and maintain Olive, and authenticate accounts;
  • save your preferences, progress, and reflections, and synchronise them between your devices where applicable;
  • provide Scripture, prayer, reflection, and community features, and display content to the audiences you select;
  • provide AI-powered features;
  • process and manage subscriptions;
  • answer support, privacy, billing, and account questions;
  • diagnose technical problems and improve the app;
  • detect abuse, protect users, and enforce our Terms; and
  • comply with law and protect legal rights.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process information to perform our contract with you, with your consent, to comply with legal obligations, and for legitimate interests such as security and service improvement, balanced against your rights.

5. Prayer requests and community content

Olive includes community experiences where people can support and pray for one another. When you choose to publish a prayer request, a Grace Report, or other community content, that information may be visible to the audience indicated in the app.

Prayer requests can contain deeply personal information. Please consider carefully what you include, and when writing about another person, respect their privacy and avoid revealing sensitive details without their permission.

Private content is not made public simply because it is stored in Olive.

6. AI features

Some Olive experiences may use artificial intelligence to provide personalised responses, guidance, summaries, recommendations, or other functionality. Information you submit to an AI-powered feature may need to be processed by the systems used to provide that feature, which may include a third-party provider acting on our behalf.

Olive’s AI-generated content is intended to support your use of the app. It should not be treated as professional medical, legal, financial, psychological, or pastoral advice.

7. Scripture and spiritual content

Olive is designed as a Christian spiritual-growth application. Your interactions with Scripture, prayers, reflections, and other spiritual features may reveal information you consider personal or sensitive. We therefore aim to use this information only as necessary to provide the Olive experience you request and to operate and improve the service.

8. Service providers and sharing

We do not sell your personal information to advertisers.

We may share information in these limited circumstances:

  • With your direction. Content you intentionally post or share may be visible to the audience shown to you in Olive.
  • Service providers. We use trusted providers to help operate Olive, such as providers for hosting, authentication, databases, subscriptions, application infrastructure, analytics, AI functionality, and technical support. They may process information on our behalf only where necessary to provide their services to us.
  • App stores and sign-in providers. Apple and Google process purchases, subscriptions, authentication, and related platform activity under their own privacy terms.
  • Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, prevent harm or fraud, or protect rights and safety.
  • Business changes. Information may be transferred as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganisation, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate protections.

9. Purchases and subscriptions

Where Olive offers paid subscriptions or purchases through Google Play, the Apple App Store, or another application marketplace, payment processing is handled by that marketplace or its payment provider. Olive does not receive your full payment-card information.

We may receive information about your purchase or subscription status so that we can provide the features associated with your subscription.

10. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Olive, maintain your account, comply with applicable obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and protect the service. Different categories of information may be retained for different periods depending on their purpose.

When you request account deletion, information associated with your account will be deleted or anonymised as appropriate, subject to information we are required or permitted to retain. Residual copies may remain in protected backups until they are overwritten through our regular backup cycle.

11. Account and data deletion

You may request deletion of your Olive account and associated personal data. Instructions, including a route that does not require the app to be installed, are on our Olive account deletion page.

Some information may be retained where required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or legitimate operational purposes. Content that has been anonymised, or is no longer reasonably associated with your account, may not be affected by account deletion.

Subscriptions are separate from your Olive account.

Deleting Olive or your Olive account does not automatically cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. Cancel through the store where you subscribed to avoid future renewal charges.

12. Children’s privacy

Olive is not directed to children under 13, or under the higher minimum age required in their country to consent to the processing of personal information. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that age. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Olive without the parental or guardian consent required in their country, contact us so we can review and delete it.

13. Security and international transfers

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures intended to protect information handled through Olive. No electronic system or method of transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Fubukisoft and its service providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use recognised legal mechanisms and safeguards for international transfers.

14. Your choices and rights

Depending on the functionality available in Olive, you may be able to update your account information, control what community content you share, remove or edit content, manage notification preferences, manage your subscription through the applicable app marketplace, and request deletion of your account.

Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or obtain a copy of your personal information, to withdraw consent, or to object to certain processing, and to complain to your local data-protection authority. To make a request, email contact@fubukisoft.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Olive evolves or legal requirements change. If we make changes, we will update the effective date shown on this page and may provide additional notice when appropriate or required by law.
